Engagement and Wedding Rings Which Represent Their Passions: Sara and Lee
On the mountains of Cardrona, Sara Quilter said “yes” to her sweetheart, best friend and adventure partner, Lee Corleison. Well, technically he intended to propose in the snow, but the evening before he decided he couldn’t wait a minute longer and proposed in their hotel room. The engagement photos were taken the next day in the planned proposal spot – atop the ski mountains of Cardrona.
Lee chose a beautiful crossover diamond solitaire engagement ring, which features a delicate diamond band. The ring is a perfect symbol of Sara’s adventurous lifestyle and boldness as a businessperson. Boss and CEO of award-winning cruelty free and green beauty brand Tailor, Sara favours ethical practices and natural products for her skincare regime.
Here at The Village Goldsmith, we understand the necessity for ethical practices as we specialise in sustainable diamond sourcing. All our diamonds are Kimberley Process compliant, and we personally visit our diamond suppliers in their cutting operations in various parts of the world to ensure we are completely comfortable with the supply chain process. We are committed to providing our clients with conflict-free diamonds.
As the CEO of a cruelty-free and green skincare brand, ethical practices and natural products are an important aspect of Sara's lifestyle, which is why it’s no surprise that Lee came to us when choosing her engagement ring.
It was not only important for Sara to own an engagement ring that was representative of her passions and beliefs, but as Lee is a multidisciplinary designer, it's no wonder he chose an engagement ring that is so cleverly designed. Sara's crossover diamond solitaire engagement ring is a modern and elegant take on a classic. Adding the delicate diamond band crossover to a traditional solitaire accentuates the centre diamond’s beauty, as well as adding to the individuality and playfulness of the ring. It is a ring which perfectly encompasses the talents, passions, and skills of the couple. Taking the unique and bold design of the ring, along with the ethical sourcing of the diamonds and precious metal, Sara and Lee’s engagement ring is the epitome of not only their lifestyles and values, but also their love for each other.
We believe this should always be the way when finding your perfect engagement ring, as at The Village Goldsmith we are passionate about crafting jewellery from moments and passions and using these to create memories and treasures that last a lifetime.
Fast forward to 2021 where the wedding ring story begins – we have created a video which showcases the process of designing and crafting a pair of custom bespoke wedding rings for Sara and Lee.
Sara and Lee tied the knot on the 19th June 2021 at their family wedding venue: Tarureka Estate, the oldest barn wedding venue in New Zealand. See the breath-taking photos they’ve shared with us from their magical day:
